CoursesThe Karma Code › Module 1: The Awakening

What Is Karma, Really?

When most people hear the word "karma," they think of cosmic punishment — do something bad, and the universe will get you back. This understanding is not just incomplete; it's fundamentally misleading.

The True Meaning

The Sanskrit word karma simply means action. That's it. Action. Every thought you think, every word you speak, every choice you make — these are all karmic actions. And every action creates a ripple, a consequence, a pattern.

"Karma is not fate. Karma is the creative process of life itself."

Think of it like this: if you plant a tomato seed, you get a tomato plant. Not because the universe is rewarding or punishing you, but because that's what tomato seeds do. Your actions are seeds. Karma is the natural law that connects the seed to the fruit.

Why This Matters

Understanding karma as a natural law (rather than a moral judgment) changes everything:

  • You stop being a victim. If karma is just action and consequence, then you have agency. You can plant different seeds.
  • You stop blaming. The patterns in your life aren't punishments. They're information. They're showing you what seeds have been planted.
  • You gain power. Once you see the pattern, you can choose differently. That's the entire premise of this course.

The Three Levels of Karma

In the lessons ahead, we'll explore three distinct levels:

  • Sanchita Karma — The accumulated store of all past actions (the full garden)
  • Prarabdha Karma — The portion that's active in this lifetime (the current season)
  • Kriyamana Karma — The new karma you're creating right now (the seeds in your hand)

The good news? Level 3 is entirely in your control. And by working with Level 2 consciously, you can transform your experience dramatically.

Your First Practice

Before moving to the next lesson, take 10 minutes to sit quietly and ask yourself:

"What pattern in my life keeps repeating, no matter how hard I try to change it?"

Don't judge the answer. Just notice it. Write it down.

This is your entry point into The Karma Code.

Take your time with this. There's no rush. The journey inward moves at the pace of truth, not productivity.
